Location

Being the county seat, Sinton is located at the center of San Patricio County and is referred to as the "Gateway to the Gulf Coast" Sinton is just 28 miles northwest of Corpus Christi, 195 miles southwest of Houston, 128 miles south of San Antonio and 175 miles north of Brownsville.

City of Sinton: 302 East Market Street, Sinton, TX 78387.  Sinton has a Council - Manager type of government with 5 Councilmen (including the mayor) and a City Planning Commission plus a City Master Plan. Emergency personnel include 9 policemen, 7 police cars and regular night police patrol, a Fire Department with 30 volunteers, 7 units and 2 police reserves.
