Responsibilities

The Sinton Municipal Court is dedicated to providing professional, efficient and courteous customer service while assisting you with your court proceedings.

The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over Class C misdemeanor criminal cases filed by the Police Department, animal control, code enforcement, and the fire marshall that are committed within the territorial limits of the City of Sinton.  These include traffic and parking offenses, city ordinance violations, and other criminal offenses such as public intoxication, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.

Court staff are committed to informing citizens of their options for the administrative processing of their case; however, court staff are prohibited from offering legal advice.

You are able to pay your tickets online, in person or over the phone. Before paying online, please contact the Sinton Municipal Court at 361-364-2389 to get the payment amount due.

The Sinton Municipal Court was honored recently by the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (TMCEC) Municipal Traffic Initiatives Grant, funded by the Texas Department of Transportation. The Court received an Honorable Mention Traffic Safety Award, as a result of their demonstration of outstanding contributions to traffic safety and helping eliminate impaired driving in their respective communities.
